Edinburgh set for sunshine and highs of up to 15C ahead of Easter Weekend

Edinburgh could see temperatures of 15C next week ahead of Easter Weekend with cloudy and wet conditions set to turn into an array of sunshine.

In recent weeks, the weather has been that of typical Scottish style, with rain, wind, fog and sunshine. Well it's set to continue into the first full week of April although temperatures are set to rise.

According to BBC Weather, Monday, April 3, will see highs of 13C with periods of bright sunshine across the capital and the Lothians. The sun will once again be out on Tuesday, albeit with a slightly lower temperature of around 12C.

The weather is then set to take another turn with cloudy spells and showers inbound on Wednesday and Thursday. Despite wet conditions, the temperature will continue to be a mild 10-13C.

According to the BBC, the outlook from Monday to Wednesday is to start off with "largely settled conditions.

It continues: " There will be a few patches of cloud and prolonged sunny spells. Largely cloudy on Tuesday with a few spells of rain, mainly in the west. The rain may intensify overnight into Wednesday, this falling heavy at times in parts of the west. Turning dry with clearing skies by the end of the day. A breezier day."

Looking further ahead and it looks like next Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8, is to deliver the goods with prolonged periods of sunshine throughout the day and highs of up to 15C looking increasingly likely.
