Edinburgh Science Festival takes experiments to the capital's streets

Edinburgh's International Science Festival is returning this April with an exciting programme of events based around the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.

The stellar line-up includes some 270 events across more than 30 venues and organisers have promised to bring Street Science back for 2019.

With mind-boggling experiments and dazzling science demonstration, their busking bikes will take street performance to a whole new level.

Onlookers can expect to witness explosions, with plenty of weirdness and mess to entertain the kids.

How Edinburgh invented the science festival in 1989
