A barbershop in Edinburgh is hosting a day of completely free haircuts for key workers this month.
Stag Barber Co - which has branches on both Lady Lawson Street and Haymarket Terrace - held an initiative during the full-lockdown period in which they donated a free haircut to a key worker for every image of a terrible home DIY haircut they were tagged in.
Now the numbers are in and a whopping 100 local Edinburgh residents gave themselves an at-home haircut in order to give a free professional chop to those providing essential services during the pandemic.
On Sunday 16th of August, at their Haymarket store, the Stag team will be dishing out free mop chops for key workers for the whole day.
The team wrote on Instagram: "This is for anyone who was a key worker of any kind - so yes of course NHS workers but also delivery drivers, posties, supermarket workers.. anyone who kept the world turning while we were in lockdown.
"It's our way of saying thank you. We'd also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who got involved and cut their hair for the cause. The response was inspiring - and hilarious."
