Edinburgh's weather on Wednesday: Windy day ahead but at least there's some sunshine

Edinburgh will have a windy Wednesday as a strong westerly breeze passes over Scotland.

The weather outlook isn't too bad though as it will remain sunny for most of the day, following a few showers before 6am.

There will be a few showers but they won't last very long.  Winds could gust up to 37mph at certain points in the day.

The Met Office says: "A bright and windy day with sunny spells. Dry for much of the time but there will be a few showers, these passing by quickly in the strong westerly wind.

"Maximum temperature 18 °C."
