You can put your de-icing kit away today because the mercury is set to rise above bone-chilling temperatures that we have been getting used to.
After a freezing cold start to the week, temperatures will reach highs of six degrees in Edinburgh and are not set to plummet below zero, with lows of around 2C
While there will be some rain, at around 6am, it is set to stay dry and sunny throughout the day in Edinburgh, with a gentle breeze.
The Met Office says: "A mainly dry day with some bright intervals and hazy sunshine.
"A few showers along the east coast in the evening. Milder than off late. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
