After a rather miserable start to the week on the weather-front, it's good news as the high winds are to settle down and the skies are to clear.
While we're not promising tropical weather, it is set to stay dry throughout the day with sunny intervals and a moderate breeze - which is a definite improvement on yesterday.
However, it will remain overcast much of the day and temperatures will drop to around one degree but there will be highs of seven degrees by around midday.
The Met Office reports: "Bright with occasional showers in the morning, mainly in the north.
"Becoming mostly dry in the afternoon. Rather cold brisk westerly winds easing by afternoon. Maximum temperature 7 °C."
