Lioness of Leith

In the shell of a derelict pub with a dark history in the heart of Leith, ‘The Lioness of Leith’ dishes out some of the city's best burgers - Burger Mama’ was born in early February 2018 out of the passion to deliver a real ‘gourmet’ burger menu to the locals of Leith.
We rate the Bohemoth - three 6oz Patties, layered with crispy bacon, cheese and topped with chilli in a brioche bun.

Butta Burger
Butta Burger was a name you guys brought up over and over again - and it's easy to see why the newcomer has made this list.
Butta create their burgers from 'the finest dry aged scotch beef', with all the their cuts aged for 35+ days which 'adds a real depth of flavour'.
Seasoned ‘Butta’ is added to the restaurant's beef mix which acts as a sort of basting technique, melting during the cooking process.

Bubba Q

Bubba Q is an American-style restaurant just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and it serves up true Southern-style barbecue fare like pulled pork, smoked brisket and cajun chicken.
But the true stars of the show are their huge burgers, and the Wholly Smokie (pictured) shows off Bubba Q's skills more than most.
It's a 7oz beef patty seasoned with barbecue dry rub and topped with hickory smoked beef brisket, shredded lettuce and a sweet barbecue sauce. In short, if you like barbecue flavours, you'll love this - and it seems that Edinburgh Live readers certainly do!

Bells Diner

This Stockbridge diner was another frequent appearance on answers for Edinburgh's best burger restaurant - and we can't wait to visit ASAP.
Bells Diner has been serving burgers and steaks since 1972 in their quaint St Stephen Street restaurant - so it's safe to say that they know what they're doing after almost 40 years in the business.
Burgers at Bells require you to choose your patty, your BUTTER of choice and toppings.
Burgers and Beers Grillhouse

This Royal Mile eaterie sells a wide range of damn fine burgers made with fresh Scottish beef, but they’ve outdone themselves with this one: it’s topped with a deep-fried mac and cheese fritter which oozes out all over the bacon-topped patty when you bite into it.
If for some odd reason you don’t like mac and cheese, other options include the Elvis-inspired “King Of The Mile”: two burgers topped with American cheese, maple-cured bacon, peanut butter and a fried banana(!) .
