Edinburgh's The Little Chartroom to open second restaurant in brand new location

The Little Chartroom have announced they will be seeing some big changes in the coming months.

The popular restaurant on Albert Place has confirmed they will be branching out and moving to a different site, with a new restaurant to take its place.

Both created by Roberta Hall-McCarron, the top chef revealed that the new site on Bonnington Road will allow the restaurant to be a "more grown up version of itself", with increased kitchen space and capacity.

The move is thought to be happening at the end of the summer or early autumn, with an official date yet to be set for when TLC will take over the former cook school and dining room by Martin Wishart.

However, as the current restaurant steps into bigger boots, Roberta and Shaun also announced the creation of a new eatery in its place.

Titled Eleanore, the new restaurant will be run by the pair in the Bonnington Road site, but will have a different feel, menu and atmosphere.

Speaking to diners on social media, they said:

"And the excitement doesn't stop there... we will be keeping out current space on Albert Place but is is changing.

"Eleanore takes its name from the boat owned by Roberta's family and named by her mother.

"Hamish and Moray from TLC on the Prom will run the kitchen in the restaurant and wine bar focussed on relaxed counter culture with high top dining, serving up tasty food and delicious wine."
