Edinburgh's legendary nightclub The Hive, home to famously messy night outs featuring sticky dance floors, jugs of fluorescent cocktails and emo tunes, have announced that they are now doing an afternoon tea.
Served at the unusual time of 4pm-6pm daily, the £35 afternoon tea doesn't feature any hot drinks or cakes.
Instead of scones, wee sandwiches and cakes your cash will get you:
- A Shot Roulette Wheel (which consists of sixteen mystery shots)
- Five Fuzzy Navel Cocktails (peach schnapps and orange juice to you and I)
- Three Large Nachos
- Three Bags of Sweets
- Five Bags of Popcorn
The post sharing the news of their new deal on Facebook had fans of the nightclub (past and present) sharing their opinions.
Over 200 people tagged their mates and let their thoughts be known - and everyone was surprised at the thought of enjoying an afternoon tea on the dance floor of one of Edinburgh's most popular student club.
"Oooh how hive has changed, never thought an afternoon tea would be a thing from there," wrote one.
"I just never thought the words hive and afternoon tea would ever go together," said another.
But despite the surprise at afternoon tea at the Hive, many were tempted by the concept.
One person tagged their mate and said "a bit unorthodox but I really want to do this" while another said "PLEASE LET ME DO THIS FOR MY BABY SHOWER."
