Edinburgh's St James Quarter is getting a Häagen-Dazs disco ice cream van

The king of all ice cream vans is coming to Edinburgh this July and will be staying in the capital for two days - July 23 and 24 - at a popular city-centre retail spot.

The much-loved ice cream giant Häagen-Dazs will be bringing their pimped-up van - along with a start music guest - to St James Quarter.

Over two days, the Scottish-born celebrity DJ Arielle Free will be giving a booming gig at what can be seen as the most unexpected concert location - the top of the ice cream van.

Located just round the corner from Edinburgh Waverley Station, St James Quarter is the easily accessible urban hub of the city, providing the perfect location for this joyful experience.

The global ice cream company went all in when planning their ice cream paradise on wheels, teasing that - apart from the full live performance stage - it will have an oversized ice cream disco ball and a sparkling scoop-shaped see-saw.

Taking a well-known to anyone concept of an ice cream van to an unheard of level, Häagen-Dazs aims to bring "DontHoldBack summer spirit" to the capital and encourage ice cream lovers to fully let go into the moment and create memories of a much-anticipated summer with their favourite flavours.

Häagen-Dazs is one of the world's leading ice cream brands and has been in the trade since 1961 - and throughout their time in business, they surely figured out a secret to keeping their customers happy.
