Bus stops on Edinburgh's North Bridge will close tomorrow (Tuesday) due to bridge refurbishment works.
Lothian Buses say that 21 services in total will be affected by the change, with a number of buses not stopping on the southbound route at all.
Both northbound stops will close, with another temporary stop set up, while the first and third southbound stops will shut.
A map, published on the Lothian Buses website, outlines the location of closed northbound stops NA and NB, along with the first and third southbound stops set to shut – NC and NE. ND represents the second southbound stop which will remain open.
Services 14, 30, 33 X33 and 49 will serve the second southbound stop on North Bridge, and the normal stops on South Bridge. They will also use the temporary northbound stop.
Services 3, 5, 7, 8, 29, X29, 31, X31, 37, X37 and 45 will also serve the temporary northbound stop, but won't stop an any of the southbound stops during the works. They will, however, stop at their usual place on South Bridge.
Services N3, N7, N30, N31 and N31 will serve the second southbound stop and the normal stops on South Bridge, along with the temporary northbound stop.
Lothian Buses say that stops NA and NE will be used for driver changeovers, and some passengers will be allowed off at these times.
The City of Edinburgh Council is investing more than £20 million in the refurbishment of North Bridge. Works have been underway to repair structural steelwork, iron facades and the underside of the concrete deck, while also replacing expansion joints and improving the structural drainage systems.
