Edinburgh's Neighbourgood to host Innis & Gunn's inaugural Beer Garden Games

Innis and Gunn are bringing a bit of adult sports day fun to one of the capital's popular outdoor markets this summer.

The inaugural Innis & Gunn Beer Garden Games are coming to the Neighbourgood Market at Edinburgh Accies Sports Ground in Stockbridge.

Speaking about the event, the popular brewery team said: "Innis & Gunn are known for creating the original and the unexpected, and for bringing people together to experience something new. So we’re delighted to introduce another first for Edinburgh – the inaugural Beer Garden Games.

"Like our very own crisp and refreshing lager, now Scotland’s No.1 craft lager, our games are a twist on the familiar. We’re taking some old-school sports day events, and turning them into new summer classics, through our unique outdoor experience."

Taking place every weekend from June 16 to July 30 (excluding the weekend of June 23), the games will feature the likes of Giant Beer Pong and bowling on Lager Can Alley, as well as testing out football skills on the Top Can Challenge.

For contestants with a thirst for victory, there are over 1000 pints up for grabs, via tokens, which can be used in their Edinburgh taproom, plus they say there’s Innis & Gunn branded merchandise to be won.

They added: "Everyone who takes part in our Beer Garden Games and posts a photo of their experience on Instagram using the #BeerGardenGames hashtag, will be entered into our prize draw competition.

"The lucky winners will get the chance to turn their hand at making their very own flavour-packed beer with the Innis & Gunn Brew School experience."
