Edinburgh's much loved Wings restaurant in free food for life offer as they issue plea for help

Edinburgh's much loved Wings restaurant has made a bold "free food for life" offer as part of their plea for help from the public.

The hugely popular chicken wings eatery, located on Old Fishmarket Close, has fallen on hard times during the Covid-19 pandemic and is now very much at risk of closure.

They need support if they are keep running after lockdown measures are lifted and life returns to some sort of normality, hopefully not too far into the new year.

Bosses at the restaurant have launched a Crowdfunder plea with a host of rewards on offer to those who want to pledge their support.

Free food forever, hoodies, t-shirts and the chance to be immortalised on their famous wall mural are all up fro grabs to those who contribute to the funding plea.

The campaign was launched at midday today (Friday, 4 December) by owner Adam Hepburn, who opened the restaurant seven years ago purely out of his love for chicken wings, and a need to prove wrong everyone who said "it'll never work".

Adam said: "There's no secret millionaire owner here to save us. It's just us. Just the lads. Wings is what we do. If you'd like to save us, save us, we'll keep cooking for you."

The Save Wings campaign has set a target of £25,000. To contribute to the Crowdfunder click here.

A number of businesses across Edinburgh have been hit hard during the pandemic.

Earlier this week we at Edinburgh Live reported how iconic venue Bannermans had issued an urgent appeal as they battle against permanent closure.
