Edinburgh's Lyceum Theatre to showcase 'performance' which can be watched from outside tonight

With the ongoing COVID crisis, Edinburgh theatres have been hit hard and shut down for a number of months.

But tonight, Lyceum Theatre is finding a new way to deliver a performance to their audience without anyone having to step foot inside the building.

This evening will mark the opening night of 'Take a Seat' at The Lyceum - a performance featuring "costume, sound and light" that will animate the capital from 7.30pm.

The show - which will run from Mondays to Saturday until October 3 - will be visible to its audience from the entire glass foyer of the venue.

The first performance of the show coincides with what would have been the start of the theatres usually bustling Autumn season.

Take a seat will feature over 100 chairs and showcase the tales of designers and production managers that are "desperate to be told" during this unprecedented time.
