Edinburgh's Hawkhill Avenue in Leith is swarmed by police after reports of a lockdown 'stabbing'

Dramatic images have emerged of 'armed police and dogs' attending a residential street in the Leith area.

Pictures taken by locals show police swarming Hawkhill Avenue near Easter Road last night at around 12 midnight.

According to locals, there have been rumours that a 'stabbing' has taken place.
