Edinburgh's 'Crufts for Cats' is taking place next week with hundreds of cats on show

Calling all cat-lovers! The Edinburgh and East of Scotland Cat Club is holding it's 62nd Annual Championship Show next week and members of the public are invited.

Pedigree and non-pedigree cats (and house-hold moggies) will be competing for titles as well as the coveted 'Best in Show' award and Edinburgh locals are welcome to come along and meet the cats for themselves.

Taking place on Saturday 12 October, the Show is held under the Rules of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (the cat equivalent of the Kennel Club) and visitors will be able to see cats and kittens as well as meet breeders, specialists and like-minded feline lovers.

Held in the Academy Park Sports Centre , the show is just £2.50 to attend (£1 for children ) and is open to the public between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
