Edinburgh's Christmas weather forecast: How things are shaping up ahead of the big day

Have you been dreaming of a white Christmas?

Well, unfortunately, we're not going to get one in Edinburgh tomorrow, by the looks of things.

Forecasters at the Met Office predict that those looking for a snowy 25 December will have to wait for another year,

That's not to say we're not in for a cracking winter's day, however.

Weather experts say that things should be dry and sunny, with pretty much no chance of rain.

Perfect for those who love a long Christmas day walk.

Clear blue skies are expected for the most part before some cloud moves in around 3pm – but we'll all be eating, or cooking, our Christmas dinners by then anyway.

Temperatures should be around 5C for much of the day before cooling later in the evening, so it'll likely be crisp but not too cold.

All in, it's looking like a very acceptable Christmas day weather-wise.
