The City of Edinburgh Council has announced changes to bin collection dates during the Christmas and New Year weeks.
Alterations will be in-place from next week, with households across the city affected.
The local authority say that those who are scheduled to have their bins collected on Wednesday 25 December will have theirs emptied between Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 December. Bins or boxes need to be put out by 6am on the first collection day, and if they are not picked up then they should be left out until they are collected.
Those scheduled to have their bins emptied on Thursday, 26 December could also see a change, with bins picked up either on the usual day or on Friday, 27 December.
For those who expect a pick-up on Wednesday 1 January the new date will be either Saturday 4 or Sunday 5 January.
And those scheduled to have their bins collected on Thursday, 2 January may see a change, with Friday 3 January a possible alternative to their usual day.
The council add that there will be no garden waste collections between 16 December and 14 January. There won't be any special uplifts either between 24 December and 4 January, with normal service resuming on Monday, 7 January.
