Edinburgh restaurant to run fun family Easter egg hunt around Morningside next weekend

An Edinburgh restaurant will be running a new Easter egg hunt for families around the city next weekend.

As restrictions relax around Scotland, McLarens on the Corner in Bruntsfield will be launching an outdoor trail as well as a new Easter menu.

Kicking off on Good Friday (April 2), the trail will see local children take part in a challenge to find 10 eggs which will be hidden in and around Morningside.

After following the trail, families will also be able to take part in the activity attached to each egg, and once completed, kids can claim their prizes back at the restaurant.

With the hopes of engaging families across the city, the hunt will give parents the chance to get their kids out for some Easter fun after weeks of staying at home.

Running from 10am-1pm, the event will also go alongside a new Easter menu from McLarens, that will include all of the traditional classics such as Clyde Valley lamb and a take on some sweet bubble waffles from their outdoor food truck.

Part of the Signature Group, which owns other venues such as Cold Town House and The Huxley, McLarens has been offering a host of takeaway food and drink throughout lockdown.

It comes as restrictions now allow up to four people from two different households to meet outside for exercise or recreation, with some retail outlets and hairdressers to reopen on April 5.
