An Edinburgh restaurant lost potentially thousands of pounds in takings after dozens of people failed to show up for bookings in a single day.
Miller and Carter on Frederick Street say a total of 43 people failed to make it for booked times at their restaurant on Friday.
They are urging anyone who's unable to make it along to get in touch beforehand so they have the chance to rebook the table.
Management at the restaurant shared a post on social media outlining how the issue affects every part of their business.
They said: "Like the rest of hospitality, we’re finding our feet again after an extremely tough period over the last year and thank those who’ve visited us this week so far.
"Due to high demand and limited availability, we kindly ask that if you don’t need your table with us to let us know at your earliest convenience.
"We had 43 people not show up today for their bookings, majority of which we were unable to re sell again which impacts every part of our business.
"In these times, just drop us a message on the phone (01316036080) and let us know.
"Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you again soon."
Edinburgh's restaurants, cafes and pubs reopened to customers as lockdown was relaxed across the country on Monday.
