Edinburgh restaurant Down the Hatch launches epic feast-filled munchie box

There are elements of Scottish culture that just go completely unrivalled.

Tartan, bagpipes, the Loch Ness monster... and Munchie Boxes.

Now the chippy classic has had a serious revamp thanks to popular Edinburgh restaurant and Canadian diner Down the Hatch.

The cult favourite eatery recently opened a brand new city centre branch on Antigua Street and since their opening a few weeks ago have been fully booked out for deliveries on a nightly basis.

The new venue has officially launched their very own Munchie Box - a Hatchbox - with a rotating menu of elements from the restaurant's specials and much-loved core menu.

Their very first offering - advertised on Friday this week - contained (deep breath in): 10 jumbo buff wings, lamb kofta dirty kebab fries, beef dip sandwiches and bacon cheeseburgers.

Just a wee snack then - right? There's no guidance as to how many people it serves and we're not here to judge (or share, get your own).

The whole huge pizza box packed full of indulgent goodness comes in at £22.95 but it's a whopping amount of scran for the price.
