Edinburgh restaurant cancels bookings and quickly shuts after Covid outbreak

An Edinburgh restaurant was forced to close for 10 days after staff tested positive for coronavirus.

Nok's Kitchen in Stockbridge had cancelled bookings from December 6 after a number of staff members came down with the virus.

Due to isolation rules and numbers, the restaurant confirmed they had closed the site for ten days to allow for their workers to isolate safely.

Set to reopen on Thursday (December 16), the other branch of Nok's Kitchen on the Castle has remained open with slightly limited hours.

However, speaking to Edinburgh Live, the eatery stated that the castle restaurant has "a different set of staff and people in", with infection not passing between the two.

The restaurant is one of many sites across the city who have been affected by the rise in coronavirus cases, with concerns that more are yet to come.
