Edinburgh restaurant behind Michelin Guide lockdown pies holding pop-up this weekend

Leith restaurant Borough may be closed under Scotland's current lockdown restrictions, but luckily for hungry Edinburgh foodies you can still get your hands on one of their legendary pies this weekend (with all the trimmings).

The team at Borough have been dishing out their pies for collection or delivery , but this Sunday April 11, pastry-loving punters can buy freshly cooked mini-pies from a special pop-up.

And Borough are talking proper British classics this weekend.

Choose between a smoked macaroni cheese pie or a steak and stout pie (made with local brewery Pilot's Mochaccino brew no less) and it comes teamed with dripping chips, homemade baked beans and Borough brown sauce.

Yes, brown sauce goes on pies, we will not be accepting opinions on this one.

The pop-up opens its doors (well, hatch) at 1pm on Sunday and you'll need to be quick off the mark if Borough's other pop-ups are anything to go buy. They'll be open til 4/5pm... or whenever they inevitably sell-out.

Borough is at 50-54 Henderson St, EH6 6DE. Follow the team on Instagram here .
