Edinburgh is set to welcome a sun blast in the next fortnight as we kiss goodbye to the chilly and wet weather that has been plaguing the capital of late.
According to the BBC, the start of April will see temperatures climb to the lofty heights of 16 degrees celsius as sunny spells return to the city.
Unfortunately residents and visitors of Auld Reekie will have to deal with some murky weather before they are able to bask in the glorious sun.

Monday March 27 starts out freezing but with clear sunny skies however this is to lull us into a false sense of security before the week long showers and downpours take hold.
From March 27 to Sunday April 2, rain will pour down on the capital with only a handful of dry spells sprinkled throughout the week.
The weather will take a turn on Thursday however with the colder spell dissipating and temperatures rising as high as 14 degrees during the day.
But the good news is that the poor weather is set to disappear and make way for some warm spring sunshine by the beginning of the next week.
So dust off the golf clubs, dig out the sangria and sun block because it is time to enjoy the outdoors again after a dreich start to spring.
Tuesday April 4 will see the temperature climb to 15 degrees celsius with the sun shining throughout the day from 7am until 7pm.
You could be fooled into digging out the barbecue tongs on Wednesday 4 as the temp is set to reach 16 degrees celsius but the forecast looks as though there could be heavy cloud cover in the sky - have the fan at the ready as it could get muggy.
Wednesday will unfortunately also see some light showers during the morning.
You can keep up to date with the weather at the BBC website here.
