Edinburgh residents escaped injury following a terrifying blaze which ripped through tenement flats in the city early on Sunday morning.
Emergency services – including eight fire appliances – remain on the scene at Bailie Terrace, in the east of the city, working to make the area safe. The fire broke out on the second floor of a four storey building.
Edinburgh Live reported earlier how fire crews and police were called to the incident at around 4.30am following reports of a fire in a property.
Police say all occupants of the building are safe and well, and their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
