An Edinburgh resident was left bamboozled by a fireworks display that appeared to be taking place over the skies of Leith.
They managed to capture video footage of the spectacular display from the window of their Pilrig flat.
But the resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that they were left perplexed as to who was behind the event and where exactly it was being held.

They noted that the way in which the fireworks burst into the sky insinuated that it had been an organised event and not just a group of youths or everyday Leithers.
On what they managed to capture, they said: “I took the video from Pilrig looking out towards Lindsay Road/ Ocean Terminal direction.
“They started going off just after 10pm last night and lasted around 5-10 minutes.
“Have absolutely no clue what was going on but the display was pretty good to watch from my window.”
During the video you can see a display that looks professionally organised and something that would not look out of place at a ticketed event.
And it is understood that on occasions, cruise ships have held firework displays at the Port of Leith in the past, but it is not yet known the exact location of the display or the reasoning behind it.
