Edinburgh Queensferry Road crash: Travel delays as van overturns in two vehicle smash

A van overturned in a horror crash this morning, causing major delays at the A90 Queensferry Road between Drumbrae and Parkgrove.

Both lanes are currently affected by the smash, with commuters experiencing delays of over an hour in citybound directions from Dolphington.

There are also reports of slow traffic out of Edinburgh City Centre before Quality Street and delays along Maybury Road and around Drum Brae.

Lothian Buses have also confirmed that the number 41 and 43 have been diverted due to the crash.

The crash is reported to involve a vehicle and a van which is blocking an entire lane after being turned on its side.

Emergency services are said to still be at the scene clearing the incident, Edinburgh Travel News posted an update at 8am which read: “RTC ongoing Queensferry Road at Parkgrove, affecting both citybound lanes.

“Citybound queues now from Dolphington, westbound queues from Quality Street and lengthy delays on Maybury Road, Drum Brae North and Clermiston Road North.”

ETN added: “30 to 40 minute delay now citybound A90 and long queues northbound Maybury Road.”
