Firefighters were scrambled to fight a blaze at a public toilets in Edinburgh this afternoon.
The incident took place shortly before 12.30pm when the alarm was raised of a public toilet block on fire next to the Leith Links Outdoor Tennis and Bowling Green.
Emergency services raced to the scene, where they spent hours tackling the inferno. Photos taken at the site show at least three engines, as well as a height appliance, parked on the road next to the block, reports EdinburghLive.
The loos were installed in May of this year following community demand, according to information on the Leith Links Community Council website.
A nearby resident and witness claimed the toilets have now been reopened to the public following the dramatic event. The extent of the damage caused to the facility is not yet known. It is understood there were no injuries.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "Three fire appliances and one height appliance were called to the public toilet building in Leith Links at 12:28pm for a small fire in a toilet block.
"The fire was extinguished and rescuers left the scene. We don't have information about the extent of damage."
