Edinburgh Primark shopper unsettled after finding shopping list in new jacket pocket

An Edinburgh Primark shopper was left unnerved this week after finding an old shopping list in the pocket of his brand new coat.

Youtuber @WolfVlogsLife had contacted the fashion brand online after his new purchase appeared to be a lot older and used than you would like.

After leaving the Fort Kinnaird store on Wednesday (October 13), he had looked through his purchases, which included a version of the LA Lakers jacket, only to find the note crumpled in the pockets.

Clearly a shopping list from a previous user, the note contained slightly more unusual items such as a "poop scoop', "eye protection" and "screw bulbs."

Speaking to Edinburgh Live about the find, @WolfVlogsLife said:

"I bought the jacket on October 13 when I was spending some birthday money, and noticed the list the next day when I tried it on.

"It must have been a return or something."

Reaching out to Primark on social media, the brand quickly responded after being asked why the shopping list would have ended up in a new item of clothing.

With the store now investigating the incident, the shopper added that they felt slightly uncomfortable with the situation and cleanliness of the jacket.

He added: "When you buy new you expect it to be new, especially during Covid times."

It comes just weeks after another Edinburgh Primark customer demanded a refund after claiming she had been sold a t-shirt which had previously belonged to a care home patient who had passed away.

The shopper stated that a slim-fit top bought from the Princes Street store had featured an inside tag with a man's name attached to the label.
