The Edinburgh postcodes of offenders removed from the sex register this year have been uncovered.
Edinburgh Live sent off a Freedom of Information request to Police Scotland and asked how many Registered Sex Offenders (RSOs) have been taken off the register this year.
We also asked for data on the crimes they were charged with, how long they spent on the register and also their postcodes in Edinburgh.
The FOI revealed that there were 22 people from the Edinburgh and Lothians area who were removed from the Sex Offenders Register in the last 12 months.
All the offenders were male and aged between 38 and 89 years old.
The 22 RSOs were originally charged with a variety of sickening offences and we have listed them below, along with the postcodes of the offender.
The offences included: arranging and facilitating a child sex offence (EH15), assault of a child by penetration (TD9), indecent assault (EH16), lewd, indecent and libidinous practices (EH41, EH48, EH18, EH22, TD9), possession of indecent photographs of children (EH6 and EH52) and rape (EH65).

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Protecting the public is a top priority for Police Scotland.
"In Scotland, Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA), provides a comprehensive response to a complex issue, using professional assessment and management to properly target resources at those who pose a risk to the public.
"Police Scotland works in partnership with a number of agencies through MAPPA to ensure that all Registered Sex Offenders are robustly managed within the community.
"While we can never eliminate risk entirely, we want to reassure communities that all reasonable steps are being taken to protect them.”
