A 29-year-old male has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a disturbance took place at a Meadows flat earlier today.

Police have cornered off Hope Park Terrace where the incident took place and a number of police vehicles and ambulances remain at the scene.

The man who was tragically rushed to hospital with serious injuries has not yet been named.

Passers-by reported an individual was seen hanging out of the window covered in what looked like blood and shouting at police.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a property on Hope Park Terrace in Edinburgh around 1.05pm on Sunday, 19 December, 2021.

"A 29-year-old man is being conveyed to hospital with serious injuries. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
