Edinburgh Police race to Hanover Street bank as man pictured inside at 3am

Police raced to the TSB bank on Hanover Street in the early hours after 'locals reported that the alarm system was sounding.'

A man was pictured lying down in the atrium of the bank at around 3 am, and police confirmed to Edinburgh Live that there were concerns for his well-being.

In a picture seen by Edinburgh Live, a man can be seen lying down on the floor at the front entrance of the TSB branch, before police appear to also enter the premises.

An ambulance was also sent to the incident and police confirmed that the man had been checked over by paramedics and moved from the scene.
