Edinburgh police launch urgent search for vulnerable man missing from Morningside

Police in Edinburgh are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing a young and vulnerable man missing from the Morningside area.

John Tant last seen yesterday afternoon at around 4.20pm on Friday 25 September 2020 in the Morningside Road area of the capital.

The 23-year-old is described as white, around 5ft 6ins in height and of slim build with short light brown hair and facial hair.

When last seen, John was wearing a navy jacket, cream zipped jumper, navy tracksuit bottoms and a grey beanie hat as pictured.

Inspector Keith Mailer, of Howdenhall Police Station, said: "We are very concerned for John's safety and wellbeing.

"Our officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries in a bid to trace him and I am now looking for assistance from the public.

"If you believe you have seen John, or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2446 of 25 September."
