Edinburgh cops have launched an urgent search for a missing teenager who hasn't been seen since the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 7 July).
Police Scotland are appealing for the public’s help as part of their efforts in tracing 15-year-old Alex Thomas - who has been reported missing in Edinburgh.
The teenager was last seen in the Moredun area of the capital during the early hours of this morning and there are concerns for his welfare.
There is no information as to what Alex was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
Sergeant Jen Macgregor, of Howdenhall Police Station, said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alex and ask him to make contact.
"Our Officers are carrying out enquiries in a bid to trace him and I am now looking for assistance from the public.
"If you believe you have seen Alex or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 0585 7th July 2021."
