Edinburgh police launch urgent appeal to trace missing Fife teenager

Edinburgh police are appealing for information to trace a missing 17-year-old from Fife who has been missing since Friday.

Police Scotland are urging members of the public to get in touch as they try to trace 17-year-old Ashton McLellan who was reported missing from Fife on Friday and could now be in Edinburgh.

Ashton is described as being around 5 feet 4 inches in height, with an average build and short brown hair.

He was said to be wearing a black shirt, black jeans and black Nike trainers at the time of his disappearance.

Police have now urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward and share it with officers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace 17-year-old Ashton McLellan who has been reported missing from Fife & may now be in Edinburgh.

"Anyone who may have seen Ashton since this time is urged to contact 101 quoting incident number 0075 19/11/2021."
