Police Scotland have said that enquiries are still ongoing after a man was spotted indecently exposing himself next to a block of Leith flats shortly before 5am on October 9.
It is believed the man was spotted performing a solo sex act by a shocked Leith resident in the early hours of the morning.
The incident is understood to have taken place by the large white steps at Giles Street in Edinburgh.
The culprit is still unknown but Police state that enquiries are ongoing after receiving a report of a man indecently exposing themselves in Leith.
A local resident, who wishes to remain but says that they have seen video footage of the incident, said: “I just wanted to make everyone aware of an incident that happened around 5.30 am Saturday morning."
“Everyone please stay alert, safe and aware of your surroundings and if you see anything suspicious please report it immediately.”
A Police Spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing after police received a report of a man indecently exposing himself in Giles Street, Edinburgh. The incident was reported to police around 4.40am on 9 October, 2021."
