Edinburgh police officers swarmed a residential street in Edinburgh on Monday afternoon.
One witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, spoke of a scene of horror as men armed with a knife, hammer and wooden sticks set upon each other as they argued on Ardshiel Avenue in Clermiston.
Ambulance services also attended the incident, that is believed to have occurred shortly after 12pm on Monday, October 10.

The eye witness alleges they saw three men arguing with an older male in the street. One of the group of three was reported to have had a knife.

They say a scuffle broke out as a man lay unresponsive on the ground. Screaming could be heard ringing out throughout the street before the emergency services arrived at the normally quiet street.
Paramedics were apparently treating the male that had been hit by a van and police were seen gathering statements from onlookers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were alerted to a disturbance and a road collision on Ardshiel Avenue at around 12:15pm. Officers are at the scene and are gathering information.”
