Edinburgh police continue speeding crackdown as driver found with no license or insurance

Police in Edinburgh have been cracking down on drivers this week, with officers monitoring traffic in the Inverleith and Craigleith area.

Teams have been visiting a number of different spots across the section of the city in order to enforce speed limits and check that drivers are up to standard.

Today, the police confirmed that they have issued three speeding tickets so far as locals are caught out with the new 20mph speed limits in place.

In addition to this, one reckless driver had his car seized after heading out and about with no valid license or paperwork.

The blue Volkswagen was pulled over on Queensferry Road, where it was quickly discovered that the car had no insurance.

After the incident, the car was seized, with the driver reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
