Edinburgh Playhouse Beauty and the Beast: How to get tickets to Disney musical

Disney's beloved musical Beauty and the Beast is touring the UK, and will be playing at the Edinburgh Playhouse this October and November.

The cast will include Courtney Stapleton as Belle, Emmanuel Kojo as Beast, Gavin Lee as Lumiere, Tom Senior as Gaston, and X Factor winner Sam Bailey as Mrs Potts.

Rounding out the main cast are Nigel Richards, Martin Ball, Samantha Bingley, Emma Caffrey, and Louis Stockil.

The musical will be playing at the Edinburgh Playhouse at dates from Thursday 21 October to Saturday November 27.

Edinburgh is the only Scottish city Beauty and the Beast will be playing at, meaning fans from around the country will be looking to book tickets during its time in the capital.

Liverpool, Cardiff and Dublin are the other cities confirmed to be hosting the production - though more could be announced later.

Beauty and the Beat first made its Broadway debut 26 years ago, and many members of the original creative team have reunited for the new production.

It will feature the music and lyrics of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, paired with the "latest theatrical innovations" to offer a "spectacularly reimagined" version of the original production.

How long does the show last?

The show will last approximately 2.5 hours long, including a 15-minute interval.

Which seats are left?

Since the musical is playing on dates over more than 4 weeks, availability will vary from night to night.

For the early dates in late October, tickets have nearly completely sold out with only a few seats in the less optimal positions being available to buy.

Towards the end of November, availability is generally better - though still not ideal, so buy now if you want a good seat.

Those looking to have more choice around where they sit in the venue should book on these dates, as many seats from all around the theatre are still available - at a wide range of prices.

How much are tickets?

Again, this will vary greatly from night to night depending on which seats are available.

There are six price tiers for seats, with the lowest starting at £20 and the most expensive going all the way up to £85.

The cheaper tickets are primarily those near the back of the venue on the balcony and at the rear of the stalls, while those wanting to see the action up close and personal at the front of the stalls or in the circle should be prepared to pay either £65 or £85.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets for the Edinburgh dates are on sale now - and already some are already close to selling out. You can buy them here.
