Oo-er, Edinburgh is the 7th sexiest place in Scotland, according to a new sex map that highlights spikes in sexual activity during lockdown.
The city’s 482,005 residents have spent more per head on their sexual pleasure since lockdown than anywhere else in Lothian.
Sexual happiness brand Lovehoney analysed spending habits throughout Scotland and the UK to discover how lockdown had impacted on passion.
Lovebirds in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife have decided to make their allocated daily exercise exercise more of a team effort according to a new sex map released by sexual happiness brand Lovehoney.
Where Edinburgh came seventh, the brand found that couples in Paisley spent more on their sexual fantasies and experimented more in the bedroom than anywhere else in Scotland during lockdown.
Rankings for other locations near Edinburgh included Kirkcaldy (8th), Bathgate (13th), Livingston (17th), Dunbar (43rd), North Berwick (79th), West Calder (85th) and Penicuik (101st).
Scotland’s sex capital was Paisley, Dumfries was second, Glasgow was third, Motherwell was fourth and Kilmarnock was fifth.
The least sexy place in Scotland was the Outer Hebrides.
A Lovehoney spokeswoman said: “Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s sexiest places with a big rise in sexual activity since lockdown.
“We have seen a huge surge in activity in and around Edinburgh as singles and couples look to escape the pressures of lockdown by experimenting more sexually.
“All our data shows that couples with great sex lives enjoy higher overall levels of happiness.”
