Edinburgh Mound robot lawnmower ranked as must see attraction on TripAdvisor

A robot lawnmower has made its way into the top 200 attractions in Edinburgh, beating a number of popular sites around the city.

The tiny orange and grey trimmer has often been spotted making its own way up and down the mound as it keeps the city centre bushes trimmed.

However, the machine's hard work appears to not have gone unnoticed by both locals and tourists in the capital, who have left nothing but glowing and hilarious reviews online.

Currently ranked at number 155 out of the 487 'things to do' listed on the site, the lawnmower, who even has its own twitter account, took to social media to celebrate the progress.

In a tweet, they said: "From number 338 in April, I am now at the giddy heights of number 163 on @Tripadvisor.

"As a humble mower, it would be churlish (that's right, I know posh words) to gloat. Luckily, my humility chip didn't install properly. Time for some robo-posturing.

"Remember people, every review is another step towards Robot stardom. Together we can create a revolution. On Tripadvisor. Sort of."

Although the machine sounds a little self-obsessed, its hard work has been deemed as a fantastic attraction by nearly everyone who has left a review on the site.

Speaking in June, one reviewer wrote: "Some of god's finest work here. Mowing from one place to the other. Adorable friendly little guy. Will be returning regularly. Kids love it, adults love it. Best attraction in UK."

Another visitor added: "No landscaping challenge is too daunting for the little mower that could! A clear-cut highlight of anyone’s visit to Edinburgh.

One user even wrote: "First went in 2013, and have been visiting ever since. Never tire of watch the little fella going about his job, reminding us all to stop and smell the freshly trimmed grass."

Still hard at work keeping the city's grass trimmed, you can head up to the Mound for free for endless hours of entertainment.
