A 41-year-old woman was seriously sexually assaulted on Manderston Street near Leith Walk last night.
Police Scotland has cordoned off a block off flats in the area while they work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The assault took place around 10.20 pm on Thursday, August 20 and police are still currently at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Evening News: “At around 10.20pm on Thursday, August 20, police received reports of a serious sexual assault on a 41-year-old woman in Manderston Street, Edinburgh.
