Edinburgh man rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries' as police hunt attacker

A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering serious injuries from a stabbing in Edinburgh.

Police are now searching for a reportedly 'masked' individual after the man was assaulted in Wester Drylaw Drive on Tuesday.

At around 5pm, the man is said to have been attacked, before emergency services attended the scene.

The injuries sustained are said to be "serious" by police, however the condition of the man is still to be confirmed.

According to the Daily Record, officers were still present at the scene this evening, with a house on Wester Drylaw Drive now cordoned off with tape while others stood guard at the home.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 4.50pm on Tuesday, 9 March, police were called to a report of a man found injured in Wester Drylaw Drive, Edinburgh.

“He was taken to hospital to be treated for a serious injuries.
