Edinburgh man 'inappropriately' approaches young woman in the Meadows

Locals in Edinburgh have been warned after a woman was approached in The Meadows last night.

Police are now investigating the incident, which occurred in the park at around 11pm.

The man is believed to have approached the woman in an inappropriate manner, before making sexual comments and gestures.

After the incident, a friend of the woman took to a local facebook page to warn others in the area.

In a post, she said: "In the Meadows a man approached a female friend of mine in a sexually inappropriate way (saying things while touching himself) and followed her for a long time, persisting even after she asked to leave her alone, making her feel that she was in danger."
