Edinburgh man gives away over 700 balloons after pals pull hilarious prank

A Leither has taken to social media to donate some of the 746 balloons that were dropped off at his house as part of a prank.

Andrew Reid posted a picture of his living room filled to the brim with an assortment of different coloured balloons - but why you ask?

Well, he doesn't have an odd obsession with balloons and they weren't for a children's party. It was all part of an elaborate prank carried out by his three mates to teach him a lesson.

Andrew explains that he always goes to Australia for his birthday and has "a moan" because his friends never celebrate his big day.

So this year they decided to make it extra special, ordering a truck load of balloons to his flat.

He wrote: "Free balloons if anyone is having a party in the next few days and needs some, pre blown up (bring a bag)

"Don't ever moan about your pals not celebrating your birthday when you spend it abroad, and don't give them keys!"

Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Andrew said: "Apparently there was 746 ordered down from 2700 due to delivery issues so that's a relief!

"They also hid 10 scratch cards in them and I've only found 5... I can't keep looking as the neighbours must think I'm being shot.

"Won't ever moan again!"
