Edinburgh man dies outside Asda in front of other bus passengers

An Edinburgh man unexpectedly died on a bus outside ASDA at The Jewel on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the area on May 2 around 3.20pm after a man took unwell while riding the bus.

The sudden incident resulted in police cordoning off the bus and the area outside ASDA superstore to deal with the emergency.

While ambulances attended the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said: “Emergency services attended and a 66-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not suspicious and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
