A lorry has overturned following a collision on the M8 westbound, according to Traffic Scotland.
The traffic and travel online service updated commuters to say that lanes in both directions of the M8 at Gogar Station Road were impacted after the large HGV had fallen onto its side. They are reporting that the lane Westbound remains closed following the collision.
The incident is understood to have taken place at around 4.14pm and images show a number of vehicles stopped at the scene with drivers inspecting the vehicle that had overturned.

Traffic Scotland shared the update on Twitter and stated that they believed the incident had been caused by a collision. It is not known if any drivers had sustained injuries.
They Tweeted: “#M8 Junction 1
“Partially blocked in both directions due to a collision.
“Traffic slowing in both directions.”
They continued: “#M8 Junction 1
“CLOSED Westbound due to a collision.
“The eastbound carriageway is fully running at present. #TakeCare on the approach.”
It is understood that traffic is now flowing freely along the M8 Eastbound but that traffic is impacted in a westward direction.
The incident looks to have occurred close to the popular Hermiston Gait retail park and the adjacent roundabout that is heavily used during rush hour traffic by commuters.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of an overturned lorry on the M8 westbound near the Hermiston Gait roundabout around 4pm on Tuesday, 23 August, 2022.
"Emergency services are at the scene.
"The eastbound slip road from the Gogar roundabout to the A720, City Bypass, is currently closed."
