There are reportedly queues on the M8 with traffic slowing on the approach to Hermiston Gait due to a Road Traffic Collison.
The crash happened shortly after 10:30am and a black vehicle has veered off the road into the grass on the side.
Emergency services are attending the scene. of the two car collision.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the incident and said: “The #M8 partially blocked E/B at Hermiston Gait due to an RTC
“Traffic slowing on the approach.”
Delays are expected as a result, we'll bring you the latest on this as we get it.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the M8 near junction 1 Hermiston Gait around 11.30am on Friday 22 October."
"Officers are currently at the scene."
