Edinburgh locals wanted for new TV programme The Great Auction Showdown

Channel 5 and STV studios are searching for Edinburgh residents to take part in a new TV show - The Great Auction Showdown.

Presented by Flog It legend Paul Martin, locals are encouraged to dig around their home for hidden treasure. You never know, you could be sitting on a fortune.

If you think you have items that could be worth some cash, STV Studios and Paul are looking for people to attend their open valuation days in Edinburgh for the series, The Great Auction Showdown on the March 7 and 8.

The Great Auction Showdown will see Paul Martin go head-to-head with a rival antiques expert in a series of fun challenges before they see who will make the most money. Filmed throughout the country, Paul and his rival will battle it out in the auction house to get the best prices and to win The Great Auction Showdown.

Paul Martin said: “I can’t wait to meet local people in Edinburgh and see what incredible items I’m sure we’ll find. This series is a competition – and one that I definitely want to win each week! – so if you have something quirky, historical or exciting at home that you think could just be worth something, come on down!”

To get involved, Edinburgh residents can go to Dovecot Studios,10 Infirmary St, Edinburgh EH1 1LT on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 7 and 8. It will be open from 10am-4.30pm.
