With events suitably limited across the capital as lockdown continues, one is still set to go-ahead this May and has called out for Edinburgh's wannabe sleuths to take part.
CluedUpp Games, an independent games studio specialising in outdoor gaming experiences, are set to bring a huge city-wide murder mystery to the capital this May - and taking part is as simple as opening your smartphone.
Let's set the scene: A murderer is on the loose across Edinburgh and three men have already been murdered.
Your chosen team of detectives must scramble across town, solve the clues left at locations and crack the case before The Ripper strikes again.
A secret start location is given to partakers in the game - with start times between 9am and 2pm on the day to aid with social distancing. Detective dress up is highly recommended, of course.
At checkpoints players must interrogate virtual witnesses and crack clues in order to be given the next location - you'll also need to eliminate murder suspects and weapons.
The team who solve the mystery in the shortest amount of time on the day wins. Prizes are also on offer for the best team outfit, picture and name.
